The Anthropometry Laboratory, which was established to contribute to the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, was designed as a fully equipped Nutrition and Dietetics Clinic. Our main aim is to enable our students to learn all the measurements and measurement methods used during their professional life when they become dietician. Our laboratory is equipped with superior quality and quantity devices. Our segmental body analyser, stadiometer, visceral body fat meter, baby height meter and weight meter are some of these devices. At the same time, our food replicas, the food pyramid, which show the portion sizes we use when prescribing a diet, are used for sensory perception of our trainings and presented to our students. In addition, our skinfold thickness gauges and anthropometric sets that we use for further evaluation are used in the laboratory trainings for our students. Our laboratory is well equipped with indirect calorimeter, armbands, devices used in hydration monitoring. In addition to our existing devices, in our laboratory, we aim to maximize productivity in the practical trainings by providing the use of these devices, measurement techniques, standardizations, measurement methods and evaluation methods.
